Q. What is the ICF Mentoring requirement?

Q. What does this ICF Mentor Coaching cohort include?

A. This Spring 2024 ICF Mentor Coaching cohort, featuring ICF Mentor Coaches Jane Rahenkamp, PCC, and Rob Michelucci, MCC, is intended to fulfill your ICF Mentoring requirement and includes 7 group mentoring sessions, held Wednesdays biweekly from September 4-November 27, 2024 at 7-8 PM ET, as well as 3 individual mentoring sessions with Jane or Rob as you choose. There will also be a make-up session held Wednesday, December 4, from 7-8 PM ET in case something happens and you need to miss a session.

Q. How can I know whether ICF Mentor Coaching is required for my credential or credential renewal path?

Q. How many people are expected to be in this cohort?

A. Per ICF guidelines, this cohort is limited to 10 people. We hope for a maximum of 10 people, though we will hold this cohort for a minimum of 5 people.

Q. How will this cohort meet?

A. This cohort will meet via Zoom.

​

Q. Who is eligible to attend?

A. Anyone is able to attend, globally! This cohort is intended for Coaches who need ICF Mentor Coaching for application or renewal of ACC, PCC, or MCC credentials...or for Coaches who'd just like to refine their craft!

Q. Is my outcome guaranteed?

A. According to the ICF, "mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level." Further, according to ICF guidelines, Mentor Coaches "make no guarantee to the mentee that as a result of the mentoring the mentee will obtain the credential level s/he is seeking." (1, 2)

Q. How much does this ICF Mentor Coaching cohort cost?

A. This Fall 2024 ICF Mentor Coaching cohort is designed to be all-inclusive and is intended to fulfill your ICF Mentoring requirement. For those paying on a per-session basis, the program costs $75/mentoring session, for a total of $750 USD, or a one-time payment of $675 for participants who pre-pay in full before the program start date, which amounts to a 10% pre-pay discount. Payment can be made via Venmo, PayPal, or an online bill pay check through your bank.

Q. How will the sessions be structured?

A. Over the 7 group mentoring sessions, we will learning more about your individual needs, norming together as a group, reviewing the ICF Code of Ethics, studying our ICF Core Competencies, and reviewing recordings together. While your Mentor Coaches will have recordings, you are strongly encouraged, with documented client permission, to submit your own [of between 20-60 minutes per ICF guidelines] to enhance your learning and refine your craft. Your individual mentoring sessions may be scheduled between you and either Jane or Rob based on mutual availability. Further details about structure will be covered during our first session.

Q. What if I miss session(s)?

A. Your commitment to your cohort is essential. Life does happen though! If you miss a session, there will be a make-up session held Wednesday, December 4, from 7-8 PM ET. If you miss more than one session, your Mentor Coaches cannot guarantee availability to make that session up. If there is availability, you will be charged a nominal fee for a make-up session with Jane or Rob.

Q. What is the cohort refund policy?

A. While you'll receive and be asked to acknowledge a program agreement during registration, if there is an extenuating circumstance and you need to drop out of the program, you will be refunded for any unattended sessions, minus $75 for each attended session. If you miss individual sessions but are not dropping out of the program, no refunds will be given for missed sessions. There will be a make-up session held Wednesday, December 4, from 7-8 PM ET. If there are less than 5 people who enroll in this cohort, the cohort will be cancelled and full refunds will be given.

Q. What if I just need group mentoring but I already have an ICF Mentor Coach for my individual mentoring hours?

A. Our Fall 2024 cohort is designed to be all-inclusive, and includes both group and individual mentor coaching with either Jane or Rob. You may of course elect to hire and pay a separate mentor coach if you choose; the ICF Mentor Coach registry is also a great resource for finding select ICF Mentor Coaches!

Q. What if I would like individual mentoring only?

A. Our Fall 2024 cohort is designed to be all-inclusive, and includes both group and individual mentor coaching with either Jane or Rob. For individual mentoring only, contact us to confirm Jane or Rob's availability.

Q. Will this cohort count towards earning the ACTC credential?

A. This cohort is not intended to mentor team coaching and therefore will likely not count towards earning the ACTC credential.

​

Q. Will this cohort count towards earning the BCC credential?

A. In many cases, another coaching credential (e.g. an ICF credential) may count towards earning the [non-ICF] Board Certified Coach credential. This cohort will not count towards earning a BCC credential directly. To learn more about the BCC credential specifically, click here.
